Teaching is like Kite-Flying
A little of it lies in your hand. Some of it lies in you. How skillful you are, how determined you can be.
Some of it lies with everything you are surrounded by.

Preparation of props (Dao Ju) for Parent's Day celebration on Sun 30.5.2010
Tomorrow SC and myself will be at her home @ 5pm sharp. Together we shall prepare props for the children's performance on Sun.
Today is happeningly! the last, final exam paper for this term (which is one year). Though supposed to be very exciting, the ordinary me did nothing near "great" today.
But we had a nice gathering with Fazz and her husband (with his store's fabulous food). We wonder when we our gang of classmates would gather like this once again. :(
CP and MS should be starting to worry for her paper (one each!) in June for ACCA.
Though i don't like making props - using of resources for things to be discarded later - but the effect and how it brings a different dimension to the whole performance is commendable.
Thus, we gladly partake. May our LORD watch over our rest and may we have quality time, making quality props for our performance, our children's performance. May HIS name be glorified as we present him the best of our children. Tribute to SC who has been teaching and rehearsing with them.

Happy Children's Day
Wow! TODAY is 2 Oct 09!
Children's day was just over and gone yesterday.
As one age, we start to realise that time flies tempus fugit before we even caught up with what's happening. Yes, we aren't so happening and "in" it any more. We need to race to catch up with time, with this new generation.
Suddenly in the 2nd dozen (di er qi nian, every "qi nian" is a twelve year time span) year, I realised what is the meaning of "old"ness. Not that you start to grow white hair or beard overnight, but realising that you no longer have the luxury of "not knowning" "not caring" "not understanding" everything and anything anymore.
You suddenly find that you have to be responsible and take charge of yourself, you own life, plus sometimes people who need your reminder. Yes, YOU are the one, they need your reminders, your advices, your good attitudes to inform, to share life with, to influence knowing and unknowingly, and be an example to... and much more.
That's what teachers, or kids, or friends, or being a colleague is required to do.
Not asking that of another, but demand that from oneself. Am I the one who is a good helper a good neighbour? Do I carry the right mindset and attitude to work or to school? Do I share my spirit and energy with people around me ? Do I just keep quiet and selfishly refuse to deploy my talents for others? Do i pose to be a poison or a pleasant scent to those whom I deal with day-in and day-out?
Whether you and I choose to or choose NOT, we have no choice not to influence others.
Let us be mindful and always keep watch on our outward actions and speech, and MORE IMPORTANTLY, guard our minds, our hearts and intentions.
For, all the fruits of life, is from the heart. 因为人一生的果效都由心而发。

今天，我们带全体儿童军团到附近的儿童游乐场跑跑--以庆祝儿童节我们国家，教会未来的栋梁。大约有19位小朋友参与（准备了大约40分，却只有半数出席，真有些可惜，浪费了不少好好的食材。礼物呢也只分了一半而已。因为我们太迟回去戏院，导致小朋友的家长都散会了，他们有的赶着去中心，真是来不及把礼物交给他们让他们溜走了。唉，只好等下礼拜吧）。
天气好得很，太阳是猛的咯。小孩子跑跑俩下子就整身热汗淋淋。短短30分钟内大班的孩子就得回去。我们带了水和一点儿水果，小小包的点心。
苏东圆配黄瓜和热狗。没一样足够开胃的。小朋友们都吃得不起劲儿。但是感谢神，我们终究进了我们最大的力，把我们认为最好的带给小朋友们。
虽然家里发生了状况，感谢神，都为我预备我需要的一切。顺利的工作（纵然忙的不可开交），可爱的同事，有趣的工作趣闻，弟兄姐妹的大力协助（启香，松纯，呈皿，我弟弟，师母）。
求神常常保守我的心。
